Jeffie
Owner and Master stylist of Isla James Salon, she named the salon after her fierce and beautiful only daughter named Isla James. Jeffie moved to Maui in 2006 after 4 years of mainland training and apprenticeship in downtown Seattle's hottest salon called VAIN. Since then in between being a mother of 3 she has passionately continued her education annually with advanced classes in cutting, color, and styling in New York, New Jersey, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Portland, Oahu, and Seattle. She specializes in Balayage, Color Melting, Highlighting, Cutting, Extensions.......all things HAIR!!! Her personal professional philosophy is that healthy hair is beautiful hair, and it's most important to work with your natural beauty and to gently enhance what you were given. A Maui lifestyle is generally hard enough on the hair with all of the exposure to sunlight and salt water so using the absolute best in products treatments is top priority.

Benji has been making waves in the hair industry since the year 2000! Working with a multitude of hair textures he has been an extension tech since 2003, blending textures seamlessly & rocking out some fresh cuts & fades over the years, his passions spill over into color as well..transformation & fantasy colors make him purrr with delight! My name is Tahira, and I grew up right here on the beautiful island of Maui. With eighteen years of experience in the hair industry, I’ve dedicated my career to mastering the latest techniques and trends. I specialize in balayage and lived-in color, focusing on creating effortlessly beautiful, natural-looking hair.
I’ve had the privilege of training with industry leaders, including Lo Wheeler Davis, Guy Tang, Jack Howard and Adrianne Dara among many others. My education spans from the Di Pietro Todd Academy in San Francisco to specialized courses with brands like Bumble and bumble, L’Oréal Professional, SEVEN Haircare, Redken, and Blonde Solutions. I’ve also taken part in numerous independent cutting and color courses to stay ahead of the game with evolving styles and techniques.

Megan was Jeffie's apprentice!!! Hand picked by Jeffie herself, she was watching Megan for YEARS taking notice of her freelance hairstyling skills and after years of telling her "I want to properly train you!" a dream team was finally formed. She and Jeffie have been a team since June of 2021 bringing to the table prior styling experience as an independent contractor and working on sets of film and tv production. Hair and makeup has always been a passion for her and she just flew through the IJS apprenticeship program. KATIE
With over 15 years in the industry, Katie has worked behind the chair as well as traveled on the road doing hair for weddings, shows, actors and musicians. Her passion is helping women feel beautiful and empowered thru feeling confident in their own appearance. Katie specializes in lived in color, personalized cuts and curly hair. Trained with Schwarzkopf, Redken, Loreal, Tigi, Toni & Guy, Hotheads & Platinum Seamless Extensions, as well as Hollywood salon Nine Zero One color techniques.

Born and raised on Maui, Annabelle started her cosmetology career in 2022 and graduated from Island Beauty School. She is well trained and gaining practice in all things beauty, but she has one passion and that's NAILS! Let her get her hands on yours!

Born and raised on the island of Kauai and a mother of 2 beautiful daughters, it all started as a hula dancer introduced me to the beauty industry and set my creativity off! Dove into cosmetology and with over 10 years experience in the makeup industry, working with Lancome, Estee Lauder, and Mac cosmetics. Also grateful to have styled celebrities at the Four Seasons and the Grand Wailea. As a hairstylist of 6 years I'm so blessed to be part of momentous occasions.
