Jeffie
Owner and Master stylist of Isla James Salon, she named the salon after her fierce and beautiful only daughter named Isla James. Jeffie moved to Maui in 2006 after 4 years of mainland training and apprenticeship in downtown Seattle's hottest salon called VAIN. Since then in between being a mother of 3 she has passionately continued her education annually with advanced classes in cutting, color, and styling in New York, New Jersey, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Portland, Oahu, and Seattle. She specializes in Balayage, Color Melting, Highlighting, Cutting, Extensions.......all things HAIR!!! Her personal professional philosophy is that healthy hair is beautiful hair, and it's most important to work with your natural beauty and to gently enhance what you were given. A Maui lifestyle is generally hard enough on the hair with all of the exposure to sunlight and salt water so using the absolute best in products treatments is top priority.

Kacie is one of our senior stylists, a master colorist & cosmetologist trained from Wicker Park, Chicago. Currently using Schwarzkopf & Redken for color, and Kevin Murphy & Davines as styling products. I specialize in highlights & blonding, hair color & men’s styles. I have trained with bumble & Bumble, Oribe, and more! My style enhances a client’s unique natural beauty always keeping the integrity of your hair at the forefront of my practice. Aloha! My name is Tahira, I grew up right here on this beautiful island of Maui! I have been doing hair for fourteen years, spending the last ten in Huntington Beach California, learning the most up to date, hot market trends, styles, cuts and color techniques. I have taken courses with specialized training in Balayage, razor cutting, creative color, dimensional blondes and men’s grooming. I’ve trained at the Di Piertro Todd academy in San Francisco, with Guy Tang in Chicago, Bumble and bumble, Lo’real Professional, Hotheads Hair extensions, Seven Hair Care, Blonde by noon color specialist, and taken many other independent color and cutting seminars. Hand picked by Jeffie herself, she was watching Megan for YEARS taking notice of her freelance hairstyling skills and after years of telling her "I want to properly train you!" a dream team was finally formed. She and Jeffie have been a team since June of 2021 bringing to the table prior styling experience as an independent contractor and working on sets of film and tv production. Hair and makeup has always been a passion for her and she's just flying through the IJS apprenticeship program.
